We rely on prayer and spiritual consultations for those who are interested, and get good results.
Our home church is built and maintained by our residents, and welcomes anybody who wants to pray on Sundays and on Christian holidays throughout the year.
We also rely on prayer during street outreach mission.
It is a powerful testimony of our faith and willingness to help people. It touched hearts on many occasions, and helped people make up their minds about getting help.
We go out to feed the homeless
Volunteers feed 3 days a week, but together with two churches in Brooklyn, our total schedule covers 6 days each week (except Saturdays). From time to time we are able to offer something other than the usual soup, or distribute clothes and shoes. IF YOU CAN COOK SOME FOOD AND JOIN US, JUST LET US KNOW!
It is mandatory to do creative work - keeping things in order, repairs and so on.
In summer 2022, all our residents participated in renewing our workshop where we restore icons, create furniture and maintain our equipment.
Our residents help their friends and others who are still living in the streets, by participating in our weekly outreach and food distribution.
Inevitably, they meet their friends on the streets and tell them about the hope that can be found in the House of Labour.
It's not all work..
The other day, we organized a trip to the museum and had a ton of fun.
